Whilst on the trip year 5 learned all about ways they can make smart choices based on 4 key areas:

Road Smart - Road safety, crossing the road, understanding impact of speed, collisions, passenger and driver safety in cars and bike safety

Street Smart - Personal safety, awareness of other people when out and about, dilemmas and safety on public transport

Fire Smart - Fire safety in the home, importance or working smoke alarms, emergency calls, 'stop, drop and roll', planning escape routes

Outdoor Smart - Water safety, cold water shock, how to help yourself and others, calling for help, electrical safety, train safety
