In a thrilling display of young talent, Smiths Wood Primary Academy has clinched the Birmingham City Football Club Cup, securing their spot in the finals at St Andrew’s, the historic home ground of Birmingham City FC. The team’s remarkable journey has been steered by Head Coach and Director of Sporting Opportunities, Mr King.

Smith’s Wood Primary Academy’s path to the final has been nothing short of spectacular, maintaining a perfect record throughout the tournament. Their recent victory on a rain-soaked pitch at Bishop Wilson showcased their resilience and determination, as they delivered a heroic team performance under challenging conditions. 

The upcoming final at St Andrew’s, located in the Bordesley district of Birmingham, is a significant milestone for these young athletes. Established in 1905, St Andrew’s has been the backdrop for numerous historic football events, including hosting the first leg of the 1960 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup Final.  The opportunity to play at such a renowned venue is a testament to the team’s hard work and dedication.
